Our Apiaries

All of our Honey Bees are from Locally Adapted Colonies, ensuring that our bees thrive in their locations and make the most of the surrounding flora. We never buy Honey Bee Queens or complete colonies from anywhere outside of West Lancashire.

We pride ourselves on raising all our own colonies and Queens locally, allowing the bees to adapt to the local conditions and build up resistance to external factors. This maximises disease resilience and reduces the risk of importing pests or disease that could harm and weaken our Honey Bees as well as the local "free living" population.

We are in the process of refining our Queen rearing operation to make sure we produce the healthiest bees possible.

We currently have Apiaries located in:

• Aughton, West Lancashire
• Kings Moss, St Helens
• Fazakerley, Merseyside

More Apiary Sites Required!

Would you like some free Granleja Honey - perhaps you have space for a Honey Bee Apiary on your land in West Lancashire or Merseyside?

Whether you are an individual with an open green space, a business that would like to improve their biodiversity and have a spare corner of land or a farmer/land owner that could benefit from increased pollination, please get in touch.

There are, however, a few requirements that we have to take into consideration.

Apiary site requirements:

• Access after business hours, including weekends (to minimise disturbance to you & your neighbours)
• Minimum space of 8 metres by 8 metres
• Fenced off from livestock
• Away from public footpaths & access points
• Vehicle access as close as possible
• Away from neighbour high traffic areas
