Over the years our honey has consistently won awards in regional Honey Shows, including the National Honey Show held annually at Sandown Racecourse in Surrey.
We strive to produce honey that is of the highest quality and would be happy to enter any honey you buy from us directly into a honey show.
The honey shows have a variety of classes allowing beekeepers to enter a range of products. The items entered range from light, medium, dark soft set and crystalised honey, a frame of honey ready for extraction, cut comb, comb sections, wax 28 gram blocks, commercial wax 227 grams, sweet & dry mead, honey cake, honey biscuits, honey jar label and photographs linked to beekeeping.
Although we sell our honey in 227g and 340g jars the strict requirement of all honey shows is that jars must be 454g (1lb) in weight. This stipulation heralds back to a time when the only jar beekeepers were permitted to use was the larger 454g size. A change in regulation was introduced in 2015 when new Beekeeping Legislation came into effect.
We enter a wide range of categories and aim to win every time; this pushes us to achieve the highest quality products when producing and packaging our produce for sale.
Best in Show/Blue Ribbon Award
The Blue Ribbon Award is awarded to the best exhibit in the honey show, at the discretion of the head judge, if the total number of entries within the show exceeds 100 exhibits.
